It is so far again. Recently started: the Mupromo software deal.
To be honest, I only bought it this time for Parallels Desktop. Maybe the rest will be helpful some day when it comes to backing up my dvd’s.
Parallels I like though. It’s better then the free VirtualBox which I have been using up until now.
What do you use to test websites with when working on Mac? VMware? Parallels? VirtualBox? Something else?
I’d like to hear!
After a recent cleaning of computers I definitely wanted to get some apps back quickly. Below a list of apps I find most useful in my day-2-day life.
This is actually an update of an earlier post – the list changes
Dropbox
A wonderful way to keep files synchronized across diverse computers. And the best: sharing 2gb is free completely. I like the clean presentation. http://www.getdropbox.com/
I can advice you to watch the video tutorial to give you headstart right away.
BBedit
The text editor that still doesn’t suck. To be honest I think there might be other great alternatives. For example TextMate is very apealling. But since I put my money on the table for BBedit and got uses to it, I’ll stay with it for a while. http://www.barebones.com
Transmit
I use Transmit for easy ftp’ing. What to say more about that? http://www.panic.com
NetNewsWire
NNW is the app for feedreading – available for windows, mac and as a webservice: synchronizing feeds between multiple clients is a breeze! http://www.newsgator.com
Contactizer Pro
CP is the program I use to keep track of project, client communication and agenda’s. Neat CRM solution with full use of Apple’s iApps. http://www.objective-decision.com/en/products/contactizerpro. Free version available!
Daylite
I switched from using CP to Daylite, to my delight. Daylight is way more capable of handling all my different streams of contacts, information, email, project and task and works well using GTD.
Virtual Box
Where VMWare and Parallels might be known more, there is a great free alternative to test my sites on windows using virtualization: Virtual Box. Since the last version I had no troubles and it ran out of the box. http://www.virtualbox.org.
RightZoom
This app makes the Green + resize your window to full screen… Something I have always missed (probable the one Microsoft tick I’ve left over…;-) )
There are more apps I use on a daily basis, but these are the top of my needs I guess.
What programs do you use on a regular basis?
Which one you think I must check out?
