I spent some time figuring out a system to work my email traffic. Email for me is basically all communication I do, combined with some notes of phone calls.
Email have my tasks, my background info – it’s the core of the life in business
I always loved gmail’s way of labeling things. It was fast, easy and good searchable. The only think I disliked was the fact it was online. All the time.
Recently I switched back from using Mail combined with the power of MailTags to using Gmail. I have put my system back up, using quick links to save my searches (which I do for getting projects overviews of all the containing tasks) and using Fluid with a Apple’s mail icon to overcome my feeling of ’always online’.
It’s working for me after a period of not working MailTags (tags were not reminded correctly, searches didn’t go too well, lack of SL support and since it’s there – I would need to pay again to upgrade…) – I am quite happy.
What I do miss a lot though is setting a tickler date to emails. Some emails just need to be snoozed for a day or 2 or three or until a specific date… No luck on that one, but my hope is up!
If you know a way of snoozing or tickling dates with gmail, please let me know!
While preparing my iPhone for real use, I came to find a problem using the unbuilt gps. It always gave me the error: “Your location could not be determined”.
The reason appears to be a timeout in the maps software. Especially people not living in the US seem to have this problem. I was able to solve it using another app called “TrackThing Lite” – a free dowload from the appstore.
Turn that app on, wait for a couple of seconds (in my case almost 2 minutes!) until the GPS signal is received. You find the option in the “Geo” tab of TrackThing. Whatever you do now is up to you: it just works now.
Weel – it took a while to achieve this through all other work, but we finished it enough to have it launced: Stylence – for internet and TYPO3 development in style! There is a lot to improve. But you have to start in order to improve right?!
I guess that is one of the great ways to put where I am at right now. I think it’s always true in this life – especially in to so fast advancing world we live in these days.
Right now I am referring to internet marketing as well as business flows: stuff takes time. Even in this fast world, some things can not be done hasty – nor will they work if you do.
Managing your website. Preparing it from the start. Working with other people and other businesses. It all takes time and you sometimes wonder how productive you are.
It’s a good thing I work on Mac for my own business. That at least speeds up development
While growing in understanding of recent development in SEO, speaking of copywriting in general and for internet, LSI a.k.a Latent Semantic Indexing and tons of analyses stuff – I come to understand more and more time is at our side, even in this fast evolving internet world.
I am happy to get to a conclusion like that (don’t ask me to explain that – I can’t, it’s my stomach).
And Eyeleds? Well, currently the designs are being made and some technical stuff is being developed at forehand as well. It will be a site with products high up front. Some great visuals on the application of the light emitting diodes.
This is already the second week on my new job at Eyeleds International – a company that produces high quality, ultra flat and sustainable LED light solutions.
Finding out more on LED lighting I see it really has the future in the lighting industry.
The enthusiasm of my colleagues is catching – and I find myself looking around for the presence of these products.
Since I will spend most of my time on internet marketing activities, a link to their site from my own must be present, right?
We will be working on a complete overhaul of the site in the coming months, building it from the ground on up on the TYPO3 Open Source CMS.
To be continued!

Just in case you wondered where the layout changes came from… Always easy with WP: just copy it over the former stuff and off you go!
You have probably heard about “twittering”. A buzz word for letting know people what you are doing. Maybe not very useful, but very funny to see some friends doing’s – so I joined
I am using Twitterlex MacOSX widget to keep it going…
I must admit I usually don’t use apps to do the blogging, but Qumana seems to be fairly cool. It’s style is not so nice (java) but it seems to do a wonderfull thing: blogging and also adding adds if you want to easily.
I’ll be trying it out for a couple of posts to see wether I truely like it or not.
I bought myself a present: a Moleskine notebook.

This is a wellknown notebook used by famous individuals in history (thought that was reason enough to buy one
). I had a habit of journalling in my student times and couple of years after that as well. A good notebook is a must to be doing this – so I thought I needed to get one, again.
Why not journaling on my laptop? To be honest: sometimes I don’t want to be behind this machine at all. It are the times where my battery is recharging and where my creativity starts flowing again.
Well, so much for this personal note
